2019 - Thurmont Green Fest
The town of Thurmont held a green fest on April 13, 2019 from 10 am to 2 pm. The green fest was at the Thurmont Library. The Frederick County Forest Conservancy District Board helped out by handing out 200 white pine seedling to the residents of Thurmont.
2019 - Hood College Green Fest
2018 - Thurmont Green Fest
The town of Thurmont held a green fest on April 21, 2018 from 10 am to 2 pm. The green fest was at the Thurmont Library. The Frederick County Forest Conservancy District Board helped out by handing out Norway Spruce & Loblolly pine seedling to the residents of Thurmont. Approximately 200 seedlings were handed out.
2018 - Hood College Green Fest
Hood College will be held a greenfest on May 12, 2018 at Cuellar lake from 10 am to 4 pm. The Frederick County Forestry Board handed out 100 Northern Red Oak seedlings and 100 Grey Dogwood seedlings. Everyone is welcome to come. Seedling choice will be on a first come first serve basis and limited to one per family.
